...about Kelly |
Jewelry designer and artist Kelly Fehr has been creating art since she was a small child. Always drawing, painting and wanting to make the world a prettier place lead her to pursue a career in art. After completing both her Bachelors and Masters in Fine Art in Jewelry Design from Tyler School of Art/Temple University in Philadelphia, Kelly designed for Lenox, the leading manufacturer of fine China in the US. Kelly created everything from wedding gifts to Christmas ornaments while the Senior CAD Designer in Metals for over 8 years.
Since moving to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia in 2009, she decided to go back to what she loves, making jewelry. Her wonderful and talented blind niece Emily loved her work and asked on many occasions for a Kelly Fehr original. It was then that Kelly realized that she could make unique gifts for those who were blind and visually impaired, with Emily being the very first recipient: a pure silver pendant with “Emily’ in Braille. Emily is why Kelly does what she does and continues to do so.
Kelly Fehr is a a funny, quirky, happy artist originally from Bucks County, PA- just north of Philadelphia. In January of 2009, she moved to Waynesboro, VA with a job relocation for her husband. Best move they have ever made.
