The story behind this item, from the inspiration herself:

"My name is Emily. I have been blind since birth.  Since I was nine months old, I've been working with my mobility teacher, Lisa P. Her motto has always been "never give up".  Just recently, she has retired and one of my retirement gifts to her was a necklace that says her motto in both braille and print.  I gave this to her and she was very surprised and touched by it. Thanks to my Aunt Kelly, I was able to give her this rather meaningful retirement present.'
